Neighborhoods
Malibu has many residential areas featuring different attributes. Take a moment for a brief introduction into some of these areas:
Beachfront: Las Tunas, Big Rock, Las Flores, La Costa, Carbon, Malibu Colony, Malibu Road, Malibu Cove Colony, Escondido, Paradise Cove, Point Dume, Broad Beach, and Encinal Bluffs, and more – They’re all beautiful and each offer their own distinct quality. Big Rock Mesa
This neighborhood is coviniently located for those who commute to the Los Angeles area and also want to enjoy Malibu. Most homes have ocean views.
Malibu La Costa
A hillside neighborhood with incredible views of the ocean, and easy beach access, with most properties having membership in the private La Costa Beach & Tennis Club.
Serra Retreat
This prestigious, landside community is distinguished by lush landscaping and incredible homes, some with ocean views. The Franciscan Monastery is located on a private knoll in this area.
Malibu Knolls
Just off Malibu Canyon, overlooking the Civic Center with most properties enjoying incredible ocean & Santa Monica Bay views, this neighborhood offers proximity to center of Malibu and the valley.
Malibu Country Estates
Below Pepperdine University. Situated in prime close-in location with wonderful ocean views, this neighborhood boasts sidewalks and a sewer system – two rarities for Malibu.
Winding Way
This area offers estates with acreage and ocean views, many of them being new homes.
Point Dume
A family community where most of the homes have deeded beach rights through one of the private riviera’s to spectacular beach. This area is also accented by a highly regarded elementary school focused on Marine Science. Swim, surf and play here.
Malibu Park
Across from Zuma Beach and nine miles from the Civic Center, this family neighborhood is close to Horseback riding and hiking trails. Many of these properties have ocean views. Juan Cabrillo Elementary, Malibu Middle school, & Malibu High School are located here.
Malibu West
Another great family-neighborhood that also boasts sidewalks and a sewer system. This area is located just inland of Trancas Beach in Trancas Canyon. Most homes have memberships to the Trancas Beach Club on the south end of Broad Beach.
Canyons
There are many canyons in Malibu that afford opportunities to live the Malibu lifestyle with a variety of views and acreage. Topanga Canyon, Las Flores, Rambla Pacifico, Latigo Canyon, Corral Canyon, Encinal, Decker and beyond.
