Malibu has many state parks within the Santa Monica Mountains that allow enthusiasts to enjoy the many miles of scenic hiking. Clicking here. will direct you the California State Park - Santa Monica Mountains website that will allow you to view all the state parks in and around Malibu and the many miles of hiking trails within these parks.

 

Harmlee Wilderness Park

Charmlee Wilderness Park is a 590 acres of the best of the Santa Monica Mountains Coastal Slope environment. The park includes picnic areas as well as 8 miles of hiking trails, native plant displays and a nature center. Programs include a volunteer Docent program, School and group nature programs and a variety of public hikes and interpretive programs.

Las Flores Creek Park

Due to work in progress, the park may be subject to closures and the types and availability of facilities at this park may be subject to change.

Malibu Bluffs Park

This six-acre community park is conveniently located at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Malibu Canyon Road. The park consists of 2 baseball diamonds, a soccer/multi-purpose field, exercise par course, jogging path, picnic tables, whale watching station, and the Michael Landon Community Building.

Malibu Equestrian Park

The Equestrian Park is located next to Malibu High School and features two riding rings, a picnic area and restrooms. This facility is permitted for horse shows and open to the public for practice and pleasure riding from 8:00 am to sunset.

Papa Jack's Skate Park

A 10,000 square foot skate area with various ramps and obstacles. This facility is open to the public during specified hours. Instructional programs are also provided. In-line, roller skates and skateboards are welcome.
